In Cat Spring proper, near the railroad tracks you will find a small, but busy, U.S. Post office (photo above) and two antique stores, Mustang Alley and Stardust Emporium. Going north on FM949, a mile or two away, is a popular spot called the Cross Road Tavern/Cat Spring Country Club which serves a catfish dinner on most Fridays.
